Jurnalisme Dari Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia, ensiklopedia bebas Jurnalistik atau Jurnalisme berasal dari kata journal , artinya catatan harian, atau catatan mengenai kejadian sehari-hari, atau bisa juga berarti suratkabar. Journal berasal dari perkataan latin diurnalis , yaitu orang yang melakukan pekerjaan jurnalistik. Di Indonesia, istilah ini dulu dikenal dengan publisistik. Dua istilah ini tadinya biasa dipertukarkan, hanya berbeda asalnya. Beberapa kampus di Indonesia sempat menggunakannya karena berkiblat kepada Eropa .
